2 Weeks. 14 days. Thats all we have to wait for Sooner football to roll back into Norman. Today we’ll take a quick look at #14, Emmanuel Beal.
Beal is a 6 foot 218lb Senior Linebacker from Columbus, Ohio. Before he was Sooner, he played JUCO at Lackawanna College in Scranton, Pennsylvania. As a JUCO freshman, he played 10 games, where he recorded 17 tackles, a sack, and a fumble recovery. As a sophomore, he played seven games, and totaled 31 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 3 broken up passes, and a fumble recovery.
After his JUCO career, Beal chose the University of Oklahoma, over Arizona, Utah State, New Mexico, and others.
His first year as a Sooner, he played in every game, starting in all but the first three. His only year (so far) at Oklahoma, was an impressive one. He racked up 81 tackles, 2 sacks, 3 tackles for loss, and 2 forced fumbles.
